Privacy policy.

Katelin Hanhart, LCSW, PC (“the practice”) maintains this page to explain what katelinhanhart.com collects and how it's handled. This is app-owner content, not an independent certification.

This website is a marketing site. It is not a secure health-record system and does not collect Protected Health Information (PHI). All booking, intake, scheduling, clinical notes, and payment happen inside the practice's HIPAA-compliant client portal, which signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Please use the secure client portal for anything private.

What this website collects

The website's contact form asks for your name, email, an optional phone number, a preferred contact method, optional preferred days/times, and an optional general question capped at 300 characters. The message field is labeled “general questions only” and explicitly asks you not to include health or medical details.

The website does not ask for date of birth, insurance or member ID, Social Security number, medications, diagnoses, or a description of what's bringing you in. If you include health details anyway, please switch to the secure client portal for anything ongoing.

How contact-form submissions are handled

Submissions are transmitted as email to info@katelinhanhart.com, an inbox scoped to non-PHI inquiries only. The website does not persist submissions in an application database, does not save them in your browser (localStorage or sessionStorage), and does not retain them in server-side application storage beyond the transient email queue used to deliver the message.

Once received, the practice may contact you by email or phone using the method you selected. If you want to withdraw a submission, email info@katelinhanhart.com with the request.

Cookies and analytics

The website does not run advertising trackers, Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, session-replay tools, or per-condition tracking on specialty pages. Standard browser features (session cookies) may be used for basic site functionality. If analytics is added in the future, it will be a privacy-respecting solution that does not tie visitors to individual health conditions or specialty pages.

Third-party links

The website links out to the client portal (Carepatron), which handles its own privacy practices under a Business Associate Agreement with the practice. Booking and clinical information you provide inside the portal is governed by the portal's privacy policy and the practice's Notice of Privacy Practices.

Your choices

You can decline to use the contact form and reach the practice via the secure client portal instead. You can request that the practice delete a website submission by emailing info@katelinhanhart.com.

Crisis notice

Contacting the practice through this website does not establish a client relationship and does not create an obligation to respond in real time. If you are in emotional crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

Changes to this policy

The practice may update this page as the website evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
