Most of us are taught to fight our anxiety. Suppress it. Outsmart it. Out-perform it. And it works, for a while.
But anxiety isn't a malfunction. It's a part of you that's been working very hard to keep you safe — usually because something in your history made safety feel uncertain.
The shift in our work is moving from "make this stop" to "what is this trying to tell me?" That doesn't mean indulging every anxious thought. It means listening before deciding.
